Local Winner? No joke

COULD it be a Novocastrian who progresses through to the Grand Final of the MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL and onto the EDINBURGH FESTIVAL later this year?

Quite possibly, because the winner of Tuesday's Newcastle heat of the TRIPLE J and Melbourne Comedy Festival RAW AWARDS will perform in the NSW State Final at the HAROLD PARK HOTEL in Sydney's Glebe on March 9.

The grand final of the award will ne held in April in Melbourne.

Former butcher FRED LANG will be on hand this Tuesday, March 2, at THE COMEDY HOTEL at SJ's Hotel in Beaumont St, Hamilton, where one lucky person will be sent to the State finals.
