Kate Comes Calling

COUNTRY songwriter and recording artist KATE BALLANTYNE will perform this Saturday night at the Westlake's newest music venue, the Commercial Hotel, Main Rd, Booragul.

The FANDANGO DUO, featuring Ballantyne and guitarist DARREN GOULD, will perform an all-country/rock set, featuring Ballantyne's original songs, country covers, and some early rock and roll.

Ballantyne was nominated this year for a GOLDEN GUITAR award at Tamworth as Best New Talent, and was 1998 TOYOTA COUNTRY STARMAKER award winner.

Last week Ballantyne performed at the BOY UP country music festival at Brook, outside Perth.

Her last album TOO HOT TO HANDLE spawned two No.1 country chart successes with the title track. TE
