Mills Takes Chances in Italy

Who: Michael Mills
Where: Western Suburbs Leagues Club
When: Friday December 31, 1999

THE New Year resolution of guitarist vocalist MICHAEL MILLS comes straight out of THE NEWCASTLE SONG penned by songwriter BOB HUDSON. 'Don't you ever let a chance go by,' said Mills, who will be playing this Friday night at Western Suburbs Leagues Club for New Year's Eve.

Mills, 39, is making his first overseas trip to Italy in March 2000, with his new bride KATHY WARD, daughter of renowned Newcastle jazz musician MILTON WARD. The versatile guitarist vocalist has landed a six-month residency at THE RED GARTER in Florence, previously occupied by Novocastrians TONY JOHNS and DANIEL ARVIDSON. 'I've also lined up some work in Denmark in November,' said Mills, a 22-year veteran of the Newcastle pub and club scene.

Mills plays a large variety of hits from the 1960s through to the 1990s. TE
