ONE of Australian country music's brightest stars BECCY COLE will perform at Phoenix on Saturday, December 26.

In 1993 Cole, then a 21-year-old from Adelaide, won the Toyota Starmaker Quest at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

The following year Cole was awarded a Golden Guitar for her debut single FOOLIN' AROUND. In 1997 she landed a recording and publishing deal that resulted in her self-titled debut, and a number one spot on the Country Music Airplay charts for BIG GIRLS. Last year Cole performed at every major Australian country music festival, becoming a finalist for COUNTRY ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR. She was also nominated last year for Female Vocalist of the Year at Tamworth for REST IN PIECES and Vocal Collaboration of the Year for CAN I TRADE HIM IN with GINA JEFFREYS. TE
