NEXT week is YOUTH WEEK and all-age gigs around the Hunter are being organised for young 'uns everywhere.

This Saturday THE JAM FACTORY gets the jump on youth week with an all ages and drug- and alcohol-free event featuring NERVOUS REX, SUPERSONIC and STRENGTH TO STRENGTH. The gig at the Broadmeadow PCYC kicks off at 7pm and ends at 10.30pm, with tickets $4.

THE JAM FACTORY is an idea organisers hope will turn into a youth music entertainment circuit with the help of PCYCs and schools as venues.

Other JAM FACTORY dates include:

Friday, April 30, at Nelson Bay PCYC featuring TARLUNG, MINER ADJUSTMENT, BOLIC and DANK, from 6.30pm, cost is $10; Cessnock PCYC featuring MISCHLING, CHAMBERLAIN'S DOG and DANK, from 7pm, cost is $2.
