An Original Christmas

An Original Christmas

Who: Extreme Blues, The Rumor
Where: Highfields Azzurri Sports Club
When: Saturday October 24, 1998

EXTREME BLUES is best known around town for its STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, JIMI HENDRIX, CREAM and BB KING covers, thanks to the tasty neck work of guitarist JUSTIN NGARIKI. But all of that is set to change, with the trio planning to have a CD of original songs out by Christmas.

Ngariki said audiences would be familiar with the originals, which the band, playing this Saturday night at Azzurri Club, with THE RUMOUR, has been introducing to the set over the past two years.

If funk's your thing, then Ngariki, bass player KENT JACKSON and drummer DANNY DAVIDSON, can also be seen in SHOE PHONE, every second Thursday at the Beach Hotel.

With keyboard player COL STEIN and conga player KERRY MILLER, Shoe Phone play covers by THE COMMODORES, KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND and HOT CHOCOLATE. Extreme Blues can also be heard every second Friday at the Beach Hotel. TE
