Who: Qwake

SCOTT THOMAS and his band QWAKE will release their debut single ALL MY LIFE this week, with little fanfare and no official CD launch.

'We felt everyone does a release night for a new CD at a local nightclub or their normal resident venue,' he said.

'We feel this concept is a bit stale and we don't want to just focus locally but on the national scene.'

The three-track CD, which has instant commercial radio appeal, has two original songs: a heartfelt ballad for the title track and an upbeat pop love song called A THOUSAND WORDS. Qwake also puts its own spin on THE BEATLES' SGT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND, showing the group is not afraid to stretch itself musically.

Thomas, who plays piano, keyboards and sings lead vocals, is joined by drummer ADAM MANNING, guitarist JASON PERCIVAL and bass player MITCH CAIRNS. The CD was recorded by PARRIS MCLEOD, who recorded the SCREAMING JETS' ARIA-nominated CD WORLD GONE CRAZY, and was mastered by DON BARTLEY at EMI studios in Sydney.

TE has five copies of the single to give away.
